Josephine Sun, MD

Dr. Josephine Sun is a board-certified pediatrician who provides compassionate, comprehensive care for children at the UNLV Health General Pediatrics Clinic. She enjoys building long-term relationships with families and supporting children’s health at every stage of development.

Dr. Sun completed her pediatric residency at UNLV and stayed on as faculty, where she now serves as the General Pediatrics Clinic Director and Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Residency Program. She is also a dedicated mentor to future pediatricians through her roles in medical education.

Originally from Salt Lake City and having spent part of her childhood in Taiwan, Dr. Sun is fluent in Mandarin-Chinese and takes pride in caring for Las Vegas’s Chinese-speaking families. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Utah and has been actively involved in community outreach since her student days.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Sun enjoys traveling, reading, playing pickleball, and spending time with her husband and their German Shepherd.
