At our Tenaya Way clinic we offer Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) and Urogynecology which are both specialized areas of women’s health, often overlapping. MIGS focuses on performing gynecological surgeries with small incisions, leading to quicker recovery times and less pain compared to traditional open surgery. Urogynecology addresses conditions related to the female pelvic floor and urinary tract, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, often utilizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS)

Dr Nadia Gomez specializes on Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Offering advanced care for a range of benign gynecological conditions. MIGS uses specialized instruments and small incisions-or in some cases, no incisions at all-to perform procedures with greater precision, less pain, and faster recovery times.

Common MIGS techniques include laparoscopy (through small abdominal incisions), hysteroscopy (using a scope inserted through the cervix), and robotic-assisted surgery. These approaches are used to treat conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and ovarian masses.

Urogynecology

Dr Quezada specializes in Urogynecology, a field dedicated to diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the female pelvic floor and urinary tract.

These conditions include urinary incontinence (urine leakage), pelvic organ prolapse (when pelvic organs descend into the vaginal area), and other pelvic floor disorders.

Dr Quezada offers a comprehensive range of treatment options, including non-surgical therapies like pelvic floor physical therapy and medications, as well as minimally invasive surgical procedures tailored to each patient’s needs.
