Heather Boakye-Wenzel

Dr. Heather Boakye-Wenzel grew up in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas and graduated from University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) with a degree in Biology. While at UTEP she competed as a Division I soccer student-athlete.
She completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine. After which, she completed her Internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. She moved to Las Vegas in 2016 to continue her medical training at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) Pulmonary-Critical Care fellowship, which she completed in 2019. After completing fellowship, she worked at the VA of Southern Nevada before recently transitioning back to UNLV to continue her dedication to training future pulmonary-critical care physicians.
Dr. Boakye-Wenzel is married with 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, watching movies and spending quality time with friends and family.
